Turmeric is a new trend.
Maybe not new but a trend. There are a lot of Pinterest and blogs already on how to include this in our diet. Most of its popularity boils down to it having great anti-inflammatory properties. It has already made an appearance on shelves of a lot of grocery stores in many countries. The benefits of turmeric are just not limited to physical benefits. It has been proven to improve memory and mood. Now curcumin is the constituent to be appreciated for its incredible health benefits but turmeric just contains 3% of curcumin. Often curcumin, not turmeric is used for testing the benefits of turmeric.
Besides having anti-inflammatory properties, it is a powerful antioxidant.
This is not the only Indian spice that's extremely healthy. There is also ginger, black pepper, cinnamon to name a few. The best thing about spices is they provide flavor while adding no calories, hence ideal for weight loss. Also, turmeric adds beautiful color to a dish. Turmeric is most definitely a magical spice!
