Likewise, when we are deemed smart, we absorb it. We get so lazy that we don't even look within or analyze what we are. Most of us have fixed patterns. Some think too highly of themselves and overlook their shortcomings. Others undermine themselves so much that they forget all their gifts. Wishing all the readers an amazing year ahead. The new year is a time of self-reflection.So here is a page from my diary where I have mentioned five lessons that I learned from 2018.  1. The effectiveness of a joke does not lie in the tongue of the speaker but the ear of the hearer For me, 2018 was full of instances where my jokes were misinterpreted. Though humor is nice jokes can turn out to be ugly if it is beyond the comprehension of the listener.  2. Never let a fool kiss you or a kiss fool you That is a quote by Joey Adams and I can't agree more. (not just a quote but my favorite quote) 3. If going gets tough the tough get going I guess all of us have been through rough and tough times throughout the year. But there have been times equally pleasing. It is always smarter to get them on your  daily   schedule. 1. Reading Reading a few pages (say 20 pages) daily weathers it's self-help, fiction, or nonfiction is a great habit. A great mentor for every student to make studying easy and effective. 2.Mel Robbins A great motivational speaker who can save you from crossing the enemy lines!! Author of The Five-second Rule, her ted talk is just so much more than inspiration. 3.Shashi Tharoor  A politician is not supposed to be on the list! But he is a great intellect, author, and just such an amazing speaker. You shall surely listen to his " Does Britain owe repression?" speech. 4. Dale Carnegie  An author who has written incredible self-help books.
