Should we fall in love?

I fell in love a few days back!

Well, it was for lines that I read.

It goes like-

     "you are a mirror

if you continue to starve yourself of love

    you will only meet people

   who"ll starve you too

if you soak yourself in love

the universe will hand you those

    who"ll love you too."

                  -RUPI KAUR.

It is so true and the writer has put it so beautifully in words that I have read this a hell lot of times after the first encounter. I thought the idea was worthy enough and could be talked about in a post.

Well, it is not easy to fall in love, indeed we even fear to love ourselves. There is this constant fear of heartbreak and the recession that follows. So instead we choose to fall for materialistic things, for example, the car we want to buy, the ring we wear, books and the list goes on.

What can rather be done is that we can start small and love deeply and firstly our parents. The ones who love and care for us selflessly. Then maybe work on ourselves and love what we are. Love and accept ourselves guilt-free. So the idea is to accept ourselves with all our imperfections.

Another phrase that has rather become common is that "The more I understand people the more I fell in love with my dog".The love for pets, especially dogs and cats are insane. All our favorite celebs love their pets and some admit to loving them more than people! Miley Cyrus, Kylie Jenner, and Ellen DeGeneres to name a handful. Well, the Indian celebrities are no less, Amitabh Bachan, Priyanka Chopra all love their pet dogs.

Well, people are indeed complex and hence difficult to understand and ah! cope with. But something it is also true that in a way we all starve for love the same way the poor starves for food. One amazing trick is, rather than focusing only on the qualities that the other person possesses,we should rather focus on how we feel when we spend time with them. It is said, the ones we feel comfortable and secure with are the right choices.

So indeed of starving ourselves, maybe we could be brave and dare to love and then learn from our experiences.

-Sending love to all the readers
